| John Hoos - LMCS 1962 |
 | Followed Bill Vick to Colgate University, joined the same fraternity
and graduated with a BA and a certificate to teach secondary school
mathematics in 1966. |
 | Entered Duke Law School in the fall of 1966. |
 | Married Bonnie Currie in the summer of 1967. Bonnie grew up in
Youngsville, graduated from Jeffersonville in 1963 and SUNY at Oswego in
1967. |
 | We lived in student housing (which became a mixture of student housing
and public housing) in Durham NC, where Bonnie taught first grade to help
put me through law school. |
 | We lived in Rochester NY the summer of 1968 where I had a summer
clerkship with a law firm. |
 | Graduated from Duke in 1969. |
 | Moved to Binghamton NY that fall, where both Bonnie and I taught in
the public schools. |
 | Moved to Milwaukee WI in the summer of 1970 where I joined a law firm.

 | Our first daughter, Tara, was born in Milwaukee in 1971. She
graduated from Denison University, taught middle school English for some
ten years and is now married with three boys (6, 4 and 2). |
 | Left the law firm in 1975 and moved to Libertyville IL (a northern
suburb of Chicago) where I joined Hewitt Associates, a firm that consults
with large corporate clients on their human resource programs. |
 | Our second daughter, Adrienne, was born in 1976. She graduated from
DePauw University, taught first grade for some ten years and is now
married with a girl (4) and a boy (9 mos.). |
 | Retired from Hewitt in 2000. For the last 15 years of career,
managed a group of some 50 lawyers located in some 10 different offices in
the US and Canada. |
 | Enjoy travel, especially foreign travel. |
 | Enjoy golf, but struggle to maintain a bogey handicap. |
 | Enjoy the grandchildren. |
 | Second home on a golf course in Tucson AZ. |
 | Our sons-in-law are both in public education and they and our
daughters are raising their families in Libertyville. That keeps us there
for a good part of the year.

 | Attended RCA Institutes NYC-Graduated with Associate Degree in
Electronics. |
 | Worked 4 years for Westinghouse Defense and Aerospace in Maryland. |
 | In 1966 went to work for Bendix Field Engineering Corp. |
 | After 2 years, Bendix offered me a contract job with Johns Hopkins
University Applied Physics Lab. |
 | Spent 8 years working with satellite navigation research and
development at JHUAPL. |
 | While at JHUAPL I performed navigation duty aboard the astronaut
recovery ships for space missions utilizing our satellite nav. system. |
 | The last 18 months at JHUAPL I represented the Lab. at GE in Utica, NY
while they were building a satellite radar altimeter. |
 | After the satellite was launched from Vandenburg AF base I decided to
try and stay home for a while. |
 | Bendix then offered me a position at the Goddard Space Flight Center. |
 | At GSFC I became the Field Engineer for Ground station Space Command
systems. |
 | During this time, 1978 thru 1995 I was associated with providing
training at Johnson Space Center, Houston, TX. Bendix maintained the
Shuttle Launch Training System. |
 | I installed the command systems around the world for command support
of satellites and the Space Shuttle. |
 | In 1995 I decided that 33 years was long enough and retired. |
 | My wonderful wife Ruth and I had three children, Christine-1966;
Pamela-1970;Richard-1974. |
 | We presently have 5 Grandchildren, the oldest is in her 2nd year of
college. |
 | The last 8 years I have played slowpitch softball as a pitcher. Three
years ago we won the Senior Mens World Cup in Virginia. This past year we
played 11tournaments and won the ISA Senior Mens World Championship. The
sponsor of our team is Hamel Builders of Elicott City, Md. |

 | Graduated from LMCS 1961. |

 | Went to work for Dr. Edward Miller in Jeffersonville right after
graduation |
 | Married Paul E. Hubert in September and lived in Jeffersonville until
1967 when moved to Youngsville where we still reside. |
 | Our first daughter was born in 1967 and graduated from Binghamton
University in 1988. She now works full time for Media Com Cable Company in
Middletown and part time as a dispatcher for Sullivan County 911. |
 | Our second daughter was born in 1971 and graduated from Elmira College
in 1993, Cortland in 1996 and Indiana State in 1998. She now works at
Mount St. Mary's College in Newburgh as head athletic trainer and teaches.

 | Both daughters are married and living in Sullivan County. |
 | During this time I changed jobs going to the JYCS Youngsville building
1976 to 1980 when I went to work for Sullivan County Department of Family
Services and retired in 2002. |
 | We have two grandsons: 2 years old and 1 month old. |
 | During these past years I have played softball (adult league), umpired
softball (high school), and am now a scorekeeper and assistant coach for a
slow pitch team. Also our daughter played fast pitch in high school,
college and for nine years played summer ball and Empire Games. As a
result we traveled throughout the New England states, plus got to watch
many of the first Olympic Team players close up (Lisa Fernandez never got
a hit off Jill). |
 | I also served on the first appeals board for the planning board of the
Town of Callicoon |
 | Taught Sunday School (and became it's director), was organist for the
church for close to seven years |
 | Became an EMT with the Jeffersonville Ambulance Corps until forced to
retire because of back pain, am now a member of the Sullivan County RSVP
program and volunteer at the Town Hall. |
 | I am also the Deputy Town Clerk and Deputy Registrar for the Town of
Callicoon and work part time. I was chosen as the Town of Callicoon
Volunteer of the Year in 2007 |
